The Illinois Press Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, promotes journalism education at the high school and collegiate levels through summer camps, grants to high school journalism programs and scholarships to students enrolled in Illinois state universities’ journalism programs. Additionally, the Foundation conducts on-going professional training for working professionals and hosts an annual convention, the premier gathering of journalists in the state. Financial support for the Foundation’s programs and scholarships comes from member newspapers of the Illinois Press Association, grants and annual contributions for individuals.
